Reviews for Teo Seafood Buntal
Review highlights
Based on 310 reviewsTeo Seafood Buntal is widely recognized for its fresh and affordable seafood offerings, attracting both locals and visitors alike. The restaurant is praised for generous portion sizes and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for family gatherings and casual dining. While the rustic setting in a traditional wooden house complements the dining experience, some reviews note the partial obstruction of the sea view due to surrounding vegetation. Customers appreciate the flavorful dishes and the fragrant beverages served, although occasional minor inconsistencies in preparation, such as batter issues, have been mentioned. The establishment offers ample parking and maintains a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, though it can get slightly warm during sunny days. Service is generally attentive, with convenient availability of drinks even during rest periods, contributing to an overall positive dining experience in Buntal Village.
Ordered 6 dishes as in the photo, cost me 161.9 including drinks. I think the price is quite reasonable. Personally I think it taste better than the 88 seafood I went yesterday, except the butter squid. The batter didn't stick to the squid properly. Too bad crab us not a ailable today.
The seafood was nice and affordable. I saw people complaining the fry problem, what I recommend is, order prawn first, after ate the prawn, left the prawn shell aside to attract them, so you have a nice dinner afterward.
I recently got takeaway from this Chinese seafood restaurant nestled deep in a traditional Malay kampung near the beach. The old wooden house has a rustic charm, although the sea view is partially obstructed by the surrounding vegetation. I ordered the S/S Prawn Nestum (RM24), S/S Belacan Bidin (RM10), and Stir Fry Beehoon with Mani Cai (RM8). While the Prawn Nestum had a pleasant flavor, the cereal was unfortunately soggy. The Belacan Bidin was decent, with a good balance of shrimp paste flavor. The highlight was the Stir Fry Beehoon with Mani Cai, also known as sweet leaf or stargooseberry, which had wok hei (breath of fire) that enhanced its rich, smoky taste. Portion sizes were just right for single servings, and the prices were quite reasonable. The friendly and kind Malay auntie who took my order made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the soggy nestum, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this spot for its authentic atmosphere and tasty dishes!
Really love everything that was served to us! Although only small crabs were available, it was just so flavourful. Everything's so fresh and tasty. The chinese tea and coffee are all so fragrant too! There is a good view as well.
One of the best restaurants you can find in Buntal Village, plenty of parking spaces, famous for its seafood dishes. Food served is generous in portion, fresh, most importantly the food price is reasonable and affordable. Will be slightly warm during hot sunny days. Suitable for small to big family gatherings, be aware for their rest period. Drinks are still available during their rest time
Vege taste is good, on seafood taste the fried squid is below average, other than that all okay, can be improve
Family of 8. Nice view, very relaxing. Limited parking space, but still managed to get one for myself and my family. The foods, no joke. Damn delicious. Drinks ok. Fastest beverages to come out. We hope to see this shop improve their infrastructure, toiletries, and accessibility. It's been years, and this place has still looked the same since 2008.
Recommend to get the salted prawns (huge) and the ojien (super crispy). They open quite early, but because its an open area next to a muddy swamp (loads of mudskipper, big ones too) there are a lot of flies and mozzies. Make your own preparations for bug repellants, food is good enough to make the trip worth it.
